Novelty Tool to Operate a Deadbolt / Privacy Lock Rancho Santa Fe
Our client wanted to have the ability to lock a bedroom door from the outside. This door is a custom hand crafted door with an existing Baldwin Estate passage lever and a deadbolt latch with a thumb turn. The customer essentially wanted it to function like a privacy lock. It did not necessatate the need for the installation of a keyed lock whch entailed modifications to the door. We opted for this simple, elegant, yet functional tool to operate the bolt. It was created from a solid block of brass using precision instruments.
